The green was laid in 1963 and competitions began the following year. The club is open to members of the public and was for many years affiliated to the Scottish Public Bowling Clubs Association (SPBCA) and the corresponding womens association (SWPBCA).

Several club members were successful in SPBCA and SWPBCA national competitions (see the honours section).

For a number of reasons the club decided to join the Scottish Bowling Association (SBA) and the Scottish Womens Bowling Association (SWBA) and also the Fife associations (FBA) and (FWBA). Members have yet to achieve success in their competitions although there have been some valiant efforts.
