Congratulations to James Hay (Jnr) and his sister Darlene. James and Darlene have won through the qualifying stages of the Scottish mixed pairs and so will represent the club in Paisley at the national finals. In order to allow as many supporters to attend this as possible the date of the Paul Bradley Memorial Millennium Competition has been changed to Sunday 31 August. The club's best wishes go to James and Darlene.

Narrow defeat - The ladies rink were narrowly defeated after a close game and so miss out on a trip to Ayr this year. Hard luck girls.
8 June 2008 - Ladies Scottish
Congratulations to the ladies rink of Valerie Robertson (skip), Barbara Robertson (third), Doris McMillan (second) and Ethel McRobie (lead) who have made it through to the last round before Ayr. The will be playing this vital match at Markinch on Saturday 14 June at 2pm. It would be great if we could have a large number of supporters to cheer them on. Good luck girls, we're rooting for you.
4 May 2008 - Coaching
It is hoped to offer coaching every Saturday morning starting soon. If you are interested in learning about this exciting game then please email dave@spittal.me.uk to register your interest. Coaching will be for any age young or not so young. There will be no charge except for green fees adult £2.40 junior £1.20 (If you like it you can purchase a season ticket). You will need shoes with flat soles which are not worn anywhere except on the green - it will be necessary to get bowling shoes if you decide to play regularly.
4 May 2008 - New Banks Fitted
The bankings which have served us well for the past 45 years are being replaced by state of the art artificial bankings. We will experience some inconvenience whilst the work is being carried out but it is for the benefit of all.
